CHALLENGE DETAILS

After a day exploring the ancient Inca capital of Cusco and a spectacular train journey to the majestic Machu Picchu ruins, your cycling challenge will begin with a beautiful acclimatisation cycle from the impressive ruins of Ollantaytambo along the length of the Sacred Valley of the Incas to the artisan market of Pisac. From here you will cut through the Andes taking in breath taking views and start to descent to the Amazon rainforest.

Following a spectacular sunrise over the Amazon, you will have the thrill of a 1,400m dirt-road descent, crossing multiple ecosystems until you reach the pristine cloud forest and set up camp. The challenge continues as you cycle deeper into the rainforest of the Manu Biosphere Reserve, home to Peru's national bird, the Cock of the Rock, toucan, monkeys, spectacled bears, giant ferns, orchid and much much more.

HOW IT WORKS

This is an open challenge which means you can take part and raise funds for any of the charities listed. The payment options are explained below.

Minimum sponsorship option
This option requires you to pay the above registration fee at the time of booking and pledge to raise a minimum amount of sponsorship for your nominated charity. The charity will then cover the full cost of the challenge out of the sponsorship you raise. The amount retained by the charity varies between challenges - full details are included in the challenge information pack.

Self funder option
This option requires you to pay a registration fee at the time of booking and pay the final balance to cover the full cost of the challenge before your departure. As you have covered the full cost of the challenge yourself, 100% of any fundraising is kept by the charity - full details are included in the challenge information pack.
