This once in a lifetime adventure combines fantastic Himalayan trekking with a trip to the exiled Tibetan community of India. The challenge starts and finishes in Dharamsala, the centre of the Tibetan Community and the home of the Dalai Lama, at the heart of the highest mountain range on Earth.
Your 2-week challenge follows the Uhl River, through evergreen and rhododendron forests. The route passes isolated Buddhist monasteries and Hindu settlements. The region is still largely unvisited, making it an unspoilt and pristine trekking area.
This is an open challenge which means you can take part and raise funds for any of the charities listed. The payment options are explained below.
Minimum sponsorship option
This option requires you to pay the above registration fee at the time of booking and pledge to raise a minimum amount of sponsorship for your nominated charity. The charity will then cover the full cost of the challenge out of the sponsorship you raise. The amount retained by the charity varies between challenges - full details are included in the challenge information pack.
Self funder option
This option requires you to pay a registration fee at the time of booking and pay the final balance to cover the full cost of the challenge before your departure. As you have covered the full cost of the challenge yourself, 100% of any fundraising is kept by the charity - full details are included in the challenge information pack.
