Starting in Jinshanling, you will trek roughly 12km each day along a stony path, winding and twisting its way through the mountains, passing ancient, crumbling watchtowers.
Your trekking adventure begins in Jinshanling with a vigorous ascent upwards, mounting thousands of steps which loop through the mountains on both sides of the Gubeikou Gateway.
This trek is physically demanding but also hugely rewarding, when you see the beautiful, vast mountain ranges surrounding you. Your imagination takes you back through several centuries to when the Great Wall was Imperial China's frontline of defence.
On completing the challenge, you will head back to Beijing to discover some of its many attractions, including Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City.

Minimum sponsorship option
This option requires you to pay the above registration fee at the time of booking and pledge to raise a minimum amount of sponsorship for your nominated charity. The charity will then cover the full cost of the challenge out of the sponsorship you raise. Self funder option
This option requires you to pay a registration fee at the time of booking and pay the final balance to cover the full cost of the challenge before your departure. As you have covered the full cost of the challenge yourself, 100% of any fundraising is kept by the charity - full details are included in the challenge information pack.
