This is a dramatic hike over log bridges, steep sided passes and over miraculously engineered stone staircases constructed 500 years ago by the ancient Incas. The awe-inspiring sight as you reach Intipunka (gate of the sun) to get your first sight of the city makes this trip one of life’s “Must Do, Must See” experiences.

We will be taking the classic four-day Inca Trail, which passes 30 sets of ruins before you finally arrive at the sacred city. Unlike some treks on the Inca Trail there is always something of interest to see and explore. In fact within a hour or so of the start of the trek you will see the Inca town of Llactapata which, until only a few years ago, was totally covered by vegetation and completely unknown to the outside world.
