Challenge details

This challenge involves cycling 500 km through villages, across waterways and past plantations, deep in the Vietnam's lush Mekong Delta, to the contrasting dry lands of ancient Cambodia.

On this incredible adventure, you will pedal past ancient temples and numerous colourful pagodas, havens of peace and tranquillity - and of course the bustling markets! The route will lead you into the Mekong proper, away from the beaten track and off the tourist trai. Very few of the locals will have seen foreigners cycling through their villages, and their hospitality and genuine interest is enough to encourage the most tired of cyclists to carry on pedalling.

Your final destination is Siem Reap. From this town you will have the opportunity to explore the iconic, ancient city of Angkor. Built by the Khmer civilization from 879-1191AD, Angkor represents one of the most astonishing architectural achievements the world has ever known, and is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.
