CHALLENGE DETAILS

On this incredible adventure, you will pedal past ancient temples and numerous colourful pagodas, havens of peace and tranquillity - and of course the bustling markets! The route will lead you into the Mekong proper, away from the beaten track and off the tourist trai. Very few of the locals will have seen foreigners cycling through their villages, and their hospitality and genuine interest is enough to encourage the most tired of cyclists to carry on pedalling.

Your final destination is Siem Reap. From this town you will have the opportunity to explore the iconic, ancient city of Angkor. Built by the Khmer civilization from 879-1191AD, Angkor represents one of the most astonishing architectural achievements the world has ever known, and is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.

What's Included in the Challenge Cost?

  • International flights to Vietnam and from Cambodia
  • All meals and drinking water while cycling
  • All transfers when in Vietnam and Cambodia
  • All hotel accommodation
  • Bikes
  • Group first aid supplies
  • English-speaking challenge leader
  • Full local support team
  • Charity Challenge T-Shirt
  • Discount from Nomad Travellers Stores for personal equipment

HOW IT WORKS

This is an open challenge which means you can take part and raise funds for any of the charities listed. The payment options are explained below.

Minimum sponsorship option
This option requires you to pay the above registration fee at the time of booking and pledge to raise a minimum amount of sponsorship for your nominated charity. The charity will then cover the full cost of the challenge out of the sponsorship you raise. The amount retained by the charity varies between challenges - full details are included in the challenge information pack.

Self funder option
This option requires you to pay a registration fee at the time of booking and pay the final balance to cover the full cost of the challenge before your departure. As you have covered the full cost of the challenge yourself, 100% of any fundraising is kept by the charity - full details are included in the challenge information pack.

Full details of all funding options are included in the challenge information pack we'll send you - just select a charity and complete the request form.
