You can experience some of the most dramatic, spectacular and awe-inspiring places on Earth, and it’s a simple solution to the problem of making your noble venture stand out from the crowd. There's also the alluring prospect of combining the challenge with a short, possible recuperative, spot of rest and relaxation while you're out there.

Examples of charity overseas challenges include overseas charity treksoverseas charity bike ridesoverseas marathons and runs. The South American jungle, the African mountains, European ski slopes - the possible destinations are virtually endless with some of the most popular destinations including Kilimanjaro, Everest base camp, Machu Picchu, the Great Wall of China and London to Paris bike rides.

FACTORS TO CONSIDER
It's often best to undertake these excursions as part of a group. You will find strength in numbers and the support and camaraderie of your fellow trekkers, rafters, climbers, jumpers or riders will prove invaluable when it comes to completing the adventure.

Make no mistake about it, these challenges are not easy. While heading overseas may well make the whole thing more exciting, it also brings an additional issues to consider.

For example, you may need to adapt your training to suit conditions you might expect, but cannot replicate in Britain. It might be hot and sunny, for instance! Having the right equipment is also vital. It’s all totally worth it though, once you’re out there and doing it for real.
