Action Medical Research is a leading independent medical research charity specialising in children’s health. We are dedicated to building a healthier future for the many thousands of babies and children affected by disease and disability. For the last 60 years we have funded major medical breakthroughs including the development of the UK polio vaccine, introducing ultrasound scanning in pregnancy and discovering the link between taking folic acid in pregnancy and preventing spina bifida.
