You don't have to go far to find your nearest climbing, mountaineering or outdoor club, most of which have an active schedule of events which may include pub meets, climbing wall sessions, weekend trips away, overseas trips and coaching sessions. You can do as much or as little as you want and beginners are welcomed and advised on basic kit they'll need in order to get involved.

Walking clubs

Walking gives us a sense of independence and freedom; to go out where we want and when we want. But there are many benefits of joining a group that has a regular programme of led walks, especially when venturing into more challenging terrain. Walking with others and/or with an experienced leader can enrich your experience.
