About the club

The Woodland Riders is a non-profit making Downhill Mountain bike club based near Tavistock in West Devon. The Club was originally formed in 2005 as a way to raise the money needed to pay the landowners the rent, which would allow us to legally ride in the area. The money raised from the membership fees pays the rent on our two sites, covers the track maintenance costs and also pays for insurance and affiliation with the British Cycling Federation. Any remaining funds are used to cover the cost of the construction of new tracks. Both our riding areas are on private land which we lease from the Landowners, As a result you MUST BE A MEMBER to ride at either location. You must be able to provide proof of Membership/day membership at all times when at Gawton or Tavi Woodlands
