Heart Research UK is a major pioneer in the fight against heart disease, still the UK’s biggest killer. We lead the way funding ground-breaking medical research into the prevention, treatment and cure of heart disease. L'Arche builds communities with people who have learning disabilities. Together with assistants, they live in ordinary houses, with choice in and access to work, therapy and local resources. The Bromley by Bow Centre works in Tower Hamlets helping some of the poorest communities in the UK. They work with young and old, families and people with disabilities. The British Heart Foundation is the nation's heart charity, raising funds for pioneering research that saves and improves the lives of vulnerable adults and children. Richard House, London's first children's hospice, provides care and support to children who are not expected to live into adulthood, as well as to their families. Its team of nurses and care staff make the time children spend at the house fun, active and therapeutic. (1059029)

St Raphaels Hospice offers Hospice care to those facing life-threatening illness. It's free & provides high quality medical & nursing skills & support to family & friends. Staff do everything possible to relieve pain & sustain quality of life in peace & comfort. Mercy Ships is an international charity, providing surgeries in West Africa, on our new ship, the Africa Mercy, and at land clinics in Sierra Leone. Medical teams provide free operations for cataracts, tumours, cleft lip and palates, orthopaedics, leprosy, dental disease, VVF and childbirth injury. TCT focuses on the particular needs of UK teenagers & young adults with cancer, leukaemia, Hodgkin’s & related diseases. The charity designs & builds dedicated adolescent cancer units in hospitals & funds & organises support & information services for patients, their families, schools & health professionals.
