Connecting two major hubs, this overland journey will take you from Johannesburg to Nairobi—so that you can explore the stunning wilderness of the six countries that lie in between. Track Africas 'Big 5' on game drives across the plains of the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Kruger and inhale the fragrant air of spice plantations in Zanzibar. A unique overland truck allows you to get to some less-visited areas of Africa, and participation camping will keep you at the heart of the action. With a comprehensive itinerary that offers plenty of exciting options, youll discover the diversity of wildlife, landscapes and people on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

Day 1 Johannesburg
Arrive at any time.
Days 2-3 Greater Kruger Area/Kruger National Park (2B,2L,2D)
Drive through scenic mountains, experience a traditional Shaagan dinner and dance, visit a Shalati village and a community project supported by Planeterra. Game drives and animal viewing in our overland vehicle.
Days 4-6 Polokwane/Nata/Palapye (3B,3L,3D)
Spend the night at Polokwane Game Reserve, a leading municipal conservation project. Watch elephants drink from a watering hole at night.
Day 7 Kasane/Chobe River (B,L,D)
Camp on the Chobe River. Option to take a late afternoon sunset boat ride with game viewing.
Days 8-10 Livingstone (3B,1L)
Ferry crossing to Zambia. Option to visit Victoria Falls, and enjoy white-water rafting, canoeing, elephant-back safari, fly over the falls, and much more!
Days 11-16 Lusaka/Lake Malawi (6B,6L,6D)
Camp on a private game farm near Lusaka. Visit various camps on the shores of Lake Malawi. Option to go for walks, snorkelling, village tours, fishing trip.
Days 17-18 Iringa/Dar es Salaam (2B,2L,2D)
Climb out of the Great Rift Valley, view vast tea plantations, descend down to the Indian Ocean.
Days 19-22 Zanzibar (4B)
Explore Stone Town, guided tour of a spice plantation. Option to visit museums, historical sites, markets, and enjoy the beach and marine activities like snorkelling, scuba diving, and swimming.
Days 23-27 Mombo/Arusha/Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater (5B,5L,5D)
Catch the ferry to Dar Es Salaam. Catch your first glimpse of Kilimanjaro. Game drives in Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater in 4x4 safari vehicles.
Day 28 Nairobi (B,L)
Travel through the lands of the Masai people to Nairobi, where the tour ends upon arrival in the late afternoon.
