Day 1 New Orleans
Arrive at any time. Welcome meeting in the evening.
Day 2 Memphis (L,D)
Head to Memphis, the birthplace of rock & roll. Relive history at the National Civil Rights Museum—located where Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated. Take an optional tour of the Rock & Soul Museum. Witness a duck walk at the Peabody Hotel then soak in the atmosphere of Beale Street.
Day 3 Nashville (B,D)
Tour Elvis' Graceland or Sun Studios. Head to Nashville and visit the Grand Ole Opry, then indulge in some country bar nightlife.
Day 4 Wytheville (B,L,D)
Take the Blue Ridge Parkway through the Appalachian Mountains. Trek along one of the trails throughout the park.
Day 5 Shenandoah NP/Washington DC (B,L,D)
Pass through Shenandoah National Park on the way to Washington, DC. Pay your respects to fallen soldiers and John F Kennedy's grave at Arlington Cemetery.
Day 6 Washington DC (B)
A full day in the nation's capital. Tour the monuments and memorials including the White House. Visit the National Mall—home to 15 museums including the Air and Space Museum. Stroll through Georgetown or head back to the Mall for nighttime illumination.
Day 7 Philadelphia/New York City (B)
Follow the trail of American history in Philadelphia. Visit Independence Hall, then head to New York City and take in a city tour. See the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building and ground zero.
