Day 1 Istanbul
Arrive at any time and transfer to hotel.
Day 2 Istanbul/Overnight Train (B)
Orientation walk of Istanbul including the Blue Mosque, Hippodrome and magnificent Aya Sofya. Tonight, board our first-class overnight sleeper train.
Days 3-4 Cappadocia (2B,1D)
Morning tour of Ankara, including the Museum of Anatolian civilization, Ataturk’s Mausoleum and Roman Quarter. On day 4, visit to Goreme open air museum, a complex of medieval painted cave churches. This evening walk in the Rose Valley and enjoy dinner with a local family.
Days 5-6 Selcuk (2B,1L)
Flight to Selcuk. Orientation walk including the remains of the Temple of Artemis, Isa Bey Mosque and St John's Basilica. On day 6 take an excursion to the ancient Roman town of Ephesus and visit to Ephesus Museum. Also experience a local lunch and wine tasting in Sirence Village.
Day 7 Canakkale (B)
Travel to Troy and explore the ancient ruins. Overnight in the harbour town of Canakkale.
Day 8 Istanbul (B)
Continue to Istanbul. Option to visit museums and sites or enjoy some shopping.
Day 9 Istanbul (B)
Depart at any time.
