UK charity challenges
When it comes to raising money for charity, there is far more to do in the UK than you might otherwise think. From treks and races over land and water to tumbling from the skies attached to a rope or a parachute, whatever your cause, there’s an activity and challenge to put your name to and start getting sponsorship for.
Those with a head for heights and love of walking among some of the best countryside the world, never mind Great Britain, has to offer will be salivating at the prospect of the number and variety of
Three Peaks challenges and other
peak challenges and
challenge walks.
Those with running legs could try a
10K run,
half marathon or
full marathon whilst those with sea legs can test their mettle and skills with a
sailing challenge or a
swim. Adrenaline junkies can get their fix
abseiling,
zip sliding or
skydiving and if getting in the saddle is your thing, there are loads of
charity bike rides. Alternatively, why not take on a swim, bike and run in a
triathlon or all sorts of activity combinations in a
multi-activity challenge?
It’s part of the make-up of the Great British public to generally have a bit of a grumble and do ourselves, and our surroundings down, but the fact of the matter is that few places on earth can boast such a stunning and diverse landscape.
Quite simply, there is no better way to explore the great, wild outdoors than to get out there, on foot, wheels or with paddles in hand and see it all close up. Taking all the challenges of nature head on, and conquering them, will give you a sense of achievement, elation and satisfaction like no other.
