This truly is trail running territory at its best.
Britain boasts one of the most spectacular coastlines in the world and this event showcases the stunning location of Exmoor with its abundance of natural beauty, breathtaking scenery and unlimited potential to inspire.
The Exmoor courses encompass stiff climbs and long descents, open moorland, thickly wooded combes (valleys), historical ruins, dizzying cliffs, exquisitely beautiful rivers and a stretch of coastline that is unsurpassed.
This event is confident that there is no course in Britain that offers such a variety of terrain within such a compact area. The Exmoor course is widely regarded as the toughest course in the series and is definitely a gruelling test of endurance for even the very hardiest trail and fell runners.
It's all about the journey. Never give up.
You are advised to arrive no later than 30 mins before your start time.
Come on, you know you want to! What better way to compliment the previous day's tough trail run and start the recovery process. Join the group for an open water swim. Assemble in this car park and walk down to the beach together. (NB - this is a friendly and informal gathering and you enter the water at your own risk).
Mandatory and recommended kit lists are readily available in the participant's manual for you.
Running with quiet and well behaved dogs is permitted so long as you are able to keep them on a lead and under control at all times. Running with a dog will preclude you from winners’ prizes.
