Find your next adventure

Friday 10 February 2017

From giving slacklining a go to getting close up with creepy crawlies, it's all at the upcoming Outdoor Adventure & Camping Show in London.

Sometimes we all need a little inspiration, and there's the perfect opportunity next week for explorers and adventurers of all ages at the Outdoor Adventure & Camping Show.

Taking place from 16th-19th of February at ExCel London it's for anyone who loves the great outdoors, with lots of activities for all the family, so an ideal day out during half-term.

It's right up our street as it combines hands-on activities with a fantastic range of inspirational speakers.

Climbing wall

The rock climbing wall caters for all abilities - beginners up to elite

The Adventure Playground plays host to a multi-sided rock climbing wall for young mountaineers; there are 90ft of realistic tunnels for underground explorers to get a feel for adventuring and a chance to try out slacklining for the first time and discover a new hobby.

Cyclists can enjoy a 500m test track and dedicated kids test track to try out the latest bikes, or head for the mini banked racing track - with three times World Champion BMX rider Shanaze Reade on hand to provide coaching.

And if you want to watch the experts in action then be sure to check out 'Air to the Throne', the UK’s biggest freestyle mountain bike competition as the world’s best mountain bike riders go head to head with their most daring and awe-inspiring tricks.

Animal Man
Kids will be enthralled by the 'Animal Man'

There's also the chance to hear from some of the world’s most fearless and inspirational outdoor personalities; kids will be fascinated by Nick Spellman, aka 'Animal Man' who gives exciting and educational talks on all kinds of creepy crawlies and critters as well as hands-on interaction.

Ash Dykes
Ash Dykes - the first person to walk the entire length of Madagascar

Adventurers Laura Bingham and Ash Dykes, Blue Peter's Lindsey Russell and Nick Crane, presenter of Coast, are all speaking - or how about learning wild cooking tricks from expedition chef Kieran Creevy?

Add in the widest range of products and latest innovations, and it's a packed day out, especially as a ticket also gains visitors entry into three other events that are running simultaneously; the London Bike Show (featuring Sir Chris Hoy and Dame Sarah Storey), the Triathlon Show: London and the Oceans Festival.
