Conquer Yorkshire's three tallest peaks in 2017 and help Marie Curie to continue providing care to people with terminal illnesses.
On this trek you’ll take on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, covering 26 miles and over 1700m of ascent while experiencing the beautiful and wild Yorkshire Dales.
The walk takes 10 to 12 hours to complete and a team of experienced mountain guides will be with you every step of the way. A good level of fitness with prior training is required to take part in this challenge and training tips will also be provided.
When you arrive you'll be checked in by one of our amazing event volunteers and given further items needed such as maps and identification bands.
Our mountain guides will check through your kit to make sure you have everything you need, and there'll be a supply of sweets and drinks at the event base which you will be able to pick up.
You’ll then be ready to head out on your trek. We’ll be waiting for you at the finish line to check you back in and celebrate your success, including receiving your UK treks medal!
By taking on this challenge for Marie Curie you’ll help us care for more people living with a terminal illness. When you join us you’ll get:

Care and support through terminal illness.
We provide care and support for more than 40,000 people living with a terminal illness and their families in the UK each year. Our nurses work night and day, in people’s homes across the UK, providing hands-on care and vital emotional support. Our hospices offer specialist round-the-clock care. And we help people throughout their illness by giving practical information, support from trained volunteers and being there when someone wants to talk.
Trek participant Inga Edwards has endorsed a trek as a must-do for those New Year's resolutions! Inga took part in Trek Sri Lanka which raised over £70,000.
Inga’s father spent his final days at Marie Curie hospice, Liverpool. "The nurses, staff and carers were so kind to my dad and offered support to us as a family... a caring and peaceful atmosphere makes such a difference”.
Marie Curie treks are amazing experiences. Follow in Inga’s footsteps & pick your own Marie Curie adventure here…
