WHAT TO EXPECT & PREPARE FOR
Go in spring & early summer to avoid the crowds
The best time to go on a Grand Canyon challenge is from March to November. Temperatures begin to cool in October. July and August are often avoided because of the large crowds.
Capture the best views
You won't be short of breath-taking photo opportunities. Ooh-Ahh Point, Plateau Point, the Rim, the famous Horseshoe Bend, Observation Point, Hualapai Hilltop, and the Esplanade await! Spare camera batteries are a must.
Train for the time of your life
You'll be trekking for around 6 hours per day in 30°C heat up & down sharp climbs, through tunnels, and across ladders as you push your limits. The fitter you are the more you'll enjoy it!
TREK TRAINING ADVICE
Make the most of a short vacation
You'll usually be trekking for 5 days with a day or two for travel either end. An organised challenge will help you make the most of the time you're there so you don't miss the best spots or worry too much about the details.
Prepare to camp in paradise
You will have several consecutive days camping in paradise surrounded by some of the most magnificent scenery on the planet. You'll also help set up & take down camp.
