The Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge is a long day of walking, but incredibly rewarding and certainly well within most walkers capabilities given the right training.
We'll be taking on Pen-Y-Ghent first from Horton, then walking north to Whernside and returning over Ingleborough to finish.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks walk is fantastic practice for those with aspirations of taking on events such as the National Three Peaks or Kilimanjaro.
We'll start at Horton in Ribblesdale, climbing onto the southern shoulder of Pen-Y-Ghent before continuing to the summit. From here we'll descend across the moorland between Pen-Y-Ghent and Ribblehead.
