From the delightful town of Bakewell in the heart of The Peaks you'll follow the Monsal Trail disused railway into Monsal Dale - one of the most photographed locations in Derbyshire.
Alongside the river and through woodland you'll ascend through the stunning Deep Dale then join the Pennine Bridleway and High Peak Trail.
With breathtaking views throughout, you'll reach the village of Carsington with a beautiful lakeside footpath alongside the reservoir where your medal, hot meal, bubbly and celebration wait at the finish line.
The majority of people will sign up by themselves and meet people on the walk - so don't worry if you're on your own. You'll need to have a reasonable level of fitness to comfortably achieve the marathon distance and you will receive a comprehensive training plan.
This could be the highlight of your summer and gives great focus for increasing your training throughout August.
