WHY JOIN A RUNNING CLUB?
It's the easiest way to learn

Beginners welcome
Clubs love welcoming beginners. Many run special 0-5K groups to help you take those all-important first steps. Check the listing of each club for more info.
Beginner groups explained
Find your pace
Club runs will feature a range of groups and speeds so you can find the one for you and move up or down. Different types of sessions - such as interval training - are also on offer.
Get social
It’s so much easier running with others. Once you've tried it, you'll be hooked. Club members encourage and look out for each other which means more motivation and better security. There will be plenty of social nights out too!
Local knowledge
You'll discover routes, cut throughs and local trails you never realised existed. There will often be trips to evening and weekend events and races too.
Get the facts about kit
Get advice on gear and honest reviews from like-minded runners, and take advantage of any discounts available at local shops.
Big-race entries
Another bonus of being a member is that running clubs are allocated places in sell-out events such as the London Marathon.
