"It is no secret that I am a big cycling fan and I am really looking forward to riding Velo Birmingham for Cure Leukaemia in September. It will be very special to have 15,000 people cycling 100 miles on closed roads around the city and I have friends, family and colleagues riding with me. It is going to be an amazing event and I would encourage anyone interested in taking part to contact Cure Leukaemia and join our team. It is a fantastic, local charity with an additional £1m to raise in 2017 and every single member of the team will be helping them reach their inspirational goal so I’d urge people to sign up today.”
We would love you to cycle for Cure Leukaemia - your fundraising will help lead the way, internationally, in the fight against the disease.

Committed to hastening global progress towards finding cures for all forms of blood cancer within 25 years.
Cure Leukaemia was founded in 2003 to accelerate the assessment of new drug and transplant therapies for patients with leukaemia and other blood cancers. The charity helps fund the Internationally renowned Centre for Clinical Haematology at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, to allowing rapid assessment of new treatments in one of Europe’s largest patient catchment areas.
In 2017 Cure Leukaemia is committed to raising an additional £1m to fully fund the £3.2m expansion of this Centre, a transformational development that will double its capacity for patients, clinical trials and research nurses. Not only will the expanded centre immediately save more lives but also hasten global progress towards eradicating all blood cancers within 25 years.
