The voice of learning disability
1.5 million people across the UK are living with a learning disability and Mencap works for them to be valued equally, listened to and included. With a network of over 400 local groups, their services include round the clock care, assistance with independent living, and advice on education and employment.
Just £10 funds two helpline calls or £40 can provide an early years support worker for an afternoon.
This is a common concern but once you get signed up and start fundraising the team at Mencap will have plenty of tips for reaching (and smashing!) the target. If you think you're going to struggle, the best thing to do is have a chat with them as each charity has its own approach.
Just click 'Find out more now' and fill in the enquiry form to get their contact details - if you put your question in, someone from their team will get back to you.

Dedicated support for young people aged 13 to 24 diagnosed with cancer.
Every day in the UK around seven young people are diagnosed with cancer aged 13 to 24. Teenage Cancer Trust provides specialised support and expert treatment needed but they can currently only help half of those diagnosed.
Help them do more and reach more young people where just £60 raised could fund 2 hours care and support from an expert nurse.

Transforming the lives of vulnerable children & young people in the UK.
Tackling the challenges faced by the UK’s most vulnerable children and young people, both physical and mental, has never been more complex.
Barnardo's currently protects and supports over 300,000 children, young people, parents and carers to help every child fulfil their potential through their local services, campaigns and research. £25 could provide a young person with bedding and a safe place to sleep or £100 could provide four mentoring sessions to a young person leaving care.

Every childhood is worth fighting for.
The NSPCC specialises in child protection by changing UK laws, seeking to protect children at risk of abuse or supporting children that have been abused to rebuild their lives.
Around 90% of their income comes from public donations where just £3 could pay for their Speak out. Stay Safe programme to reach a child in primary school or £40 could pay to answer 10 Childline calls from children in need of help.

A world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs.
Cats Protection helps 500 cats and kittens every day, through its 250 volunteer run branches, team of feline experts and 36 centres around the UK. Their aims are re-homing, neutering and education to improve the lives and welfare of cats.
£10 raised could feed a cat in their care for over a week and £50 could provide a traumatised cat with a safe place and bed to sleep.
