The Virgin Money London Marathon is one of the world’s greatest marathons. Starting in Greenwich and banked with supporters throughout, follow the iconic route taking in the breath-taking landmarks of London and finishing down the beautiful Mall.
The Virgin Money London Marathon now accepts 50,000 entries a year and is shown live on television in over 200 countries around the world. Undoubtedly one of the biggest events in the sporting calendar for any runner and not one to be missed.

Official 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon app to gain access to event day and race week information. Spectators can use it to find and track participants during the race, keep track of split times, view results and more - all via the mobile app.

Ballot entries
The public ballot entry system for the 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon opened on Monday 30 April and closed at 17:00 on Friday 4 May. The London Marathon received a world record
414,168 ballot entries for the 2019 event. With only around 17,500 of these ballot entrants running on the day, the only way to
guarantee yourself a place in the London Marathon is to obtain a
charity place.
