Funding medical research projects to secure a future without prostate cancer.
The mission of PCRC is to develop new therapy for men with advanced prostate cancer. The immediate goal is to increase survival and our vision is a cure for the disease.
The Prostate Cancer Research Centre is the only charity solely focused on funding world class scientists developing new treatments for advanced prostate cancer.
Prostate cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in men. Over 11,000 men die every year in the UK and the number increases every year.
Advanced prostate cancer is treated with hormone therapy, developed in the 1940s. Hormone therapy is still the primary and most effective treatment for advanced prostate cancer. Consequently, survival rates have improved little over the last 70 years. New and more effective therapy is urgently needed.
We are dedicated to improving the survival of the next generation of men and better treatment can only come through research.

We are the UK’s leading veterinary charity – saving and protecting pets is what we’re all about.
Every year, PDSA saves the lives of hundreds of thousands of pets when their owners have nowhere else to turn. Whether it’s a single parent, someone with a disability or an elderly person living on their own, we help people from all lifestyles by tackling poverty in a unique way.
Yet our work goes beyond caring for pets when they’re sick; we’re working to prevent this from happening in the first place. With 48 Pet Hospitals across the UK, veterinary expertise is at the core of what we do and we’re dedicated to educating present and future owners on all aspects of pet ownership.
We touch the lives of more pets and their owners than any other animal charity in the UK today, and we’ve been doing this for 100 years. In that time we have provided a staggering 100 million free treatments to more than 20 million pets.
We’re a lifeline for sick and injured pets, and yet we receive no HM Government funding for our life-saving work. We can’t do it without you.
