The late Blyth Wright was a mountaineer, author and Scottish Patriot. He founded the Avalanche Service in Scotland and his work on forecasting avalanches provided an invaluable service for walkers and climbers - considerably improving safety in the hills. He worked at Glenmore Lodge, Loch Eil Outward Bound Centre and supported Philip Tranter's epic round of Munros later called 'the Tranter Round'.
