When it comes to scenery, difficulty, training and kit, there is plenty to set Everest Base Camp and Kilimanjaro treks apart. Adventurer Jo Bradshaw explains.
Jo’s first foray into outdoor adventure was as a challenger when she signed up for a bike ride in Peru back in 2004. That proved the spark which led her to work for Discover Adventure, first in the office and then becoming a leader herself.
Since then she’s never looked back, with countless Kilimanjaro summits and other challenges under her belt before she took on a life-changing expedition of her own, climbing the highest mountain in the world, Everest. She successfully achieved that in 2016, raising over £15,000 for charity Place2Be, and now has her sights on the 7 Summits, with three to go.
