This cause is on my mind at the moment as my lovely Great Uncle was diagnosed with Parkinson's recently. This challenge ride is the first of many bike events for me (hopefully), having hung up my running shoes post-baby. I'm excited to be trying something new but this 62-mile challenge is taking me way out of my comfort zone.
44-mile training ride through the North York Moors on my way to a family party - the furthest I've ever cycled. Really pleased & can still walk the next day!
Thanks to online fundraising

I've been living & breathing charity challenges since I joined the timeoutdoors team in 2002 & have taken part in loads of charity running events & fell-runs. I'm really keen to try different types of challenges, starting with cycling. My 7 year old son said to me the other day (having just completed a hilly 9 mile ride himself) "When you've been cycling, you just want to go cycling again!" and I couldn't agree more.
