I have completed the Edinburgh 5k in 35.18. This has taken me a number of years! Restarted the couch to 5k on numerous occasions. Using the Edinburgh Marathon Festival training sessions encouraged me to maintain a training plan .
My aim now is to improve my 5k time and aim for a 10k trail run. I find I prefer off road.
We've set out some example updates below to give you some ideas - you can add a photo and emoji to each one. If you complete an event or milestone you've set yourself, come back to claim your finisher's medal!
To get started, just click the 'Update' tab above and login. Once you've added your first update, your goal page will go live on the site and the examples below will disappear.
We all love new, shiny gear. If you've bought something you love (or hate!), tell us and give it a thumbs up (or down).
If you've signed up for a challenge as part of your training, add a 'Challenge' update - then come back when you've done it and claim your medal!
Use these for key training updates, not day-to-day stuff (apps covers these). It might be a training target you've set, a particularly good training session or something else relevant to your training remine.
If raising funds is part of your goal, use updates to help you. Add the deadline to pay your fundraising as an update so you don't forget. If you have a cake sale that raises money, add an update and photo to show people how you did!
If you're going on a training camp or other active trip as part of your training, add a 'Trip' update.
If you've signed up for an event as part of your training, add an 'Event' update - then come back when you've done it and claim your medal!
To help achieve your big goal, you might set a few milestones on the way - add these as updates to help keep you focussed and motivated.
This is what's it's all about - helping you achieve your big goal. Add a 'Goal' update with a photo to show how your goal fits within your timeline.
