July 2017 - Total couch potato. Friend inspired me. Saw event and have been trying to train myself ever since (No real idea of how to go about it, but given tips by friend). Want to drop weight, improve fitness and help others as I do it.
Managed 2.5km. Best possible speed in a short burst 2.75mph.

Want to lose weight, get fit and help others as I do it. Failed. Unable to do due to non-running injury
I want to finish this event in an hour. In the end finished in 48 min. This is much nearer my final target than I believed possible at this stage.
In time wish to get down to 45 min for 5km
Later want to complete 15km
Using Parkrun as my main training aid. Managed to reduce my time to my original goal six months early
