13 miles is a long way for little legs & a huge step up from 10K (the furthest I've ran so far). I'll be raising funds for children with serious illnesses which is definitely helping keep me motivated during training.
My first run around Swinsty Reservoir as part of my training for the Great North Run... I ran for around 30 minutes and I could have gone for longer but it got too dark - bring on the lighter evenings!
I've signed up for a local 10K - the pork pie waiting for me at the finish line should get me round!
I want to fit in running at least 10 miles a week around work etc. starting with running two evenings and a 5 mile run at the weekend - just trying to be realistic for now!
Joined a running group to help boost my motivation and keep on track!
The big day - running the Great North Run (Half a marathon!) to support WellChild.
Funds raised off-line need to reach WellChild by this date.
Hiking, cycling and exploring are my favourite outdoor activities - in the UK but especially overseas. Leading a team up Kili was a big highlight for me. I'm pretty new to running but so far so good!
