I'm going to South Africa to build a primary school in a week with a group of skilled & unskilled volunteers. I strongly believe that education is key to a person achieving their true potential - and that starts at the earliest age. There are children living in townships with so much potential, but the infrastructure and support simply isn't there. So when the opportunity came up at work to be part of a team that can change all that, I leapt at the chance.

£1500 of the fundraising target needs to be submitted to the charity end of May/June.
The Avon Gorge may be off-limits for abseilers this year so my challenge is likely to be in an equally daunting high-sided quarry nearby. Going over the edge is the hardest part (I've heard) but I'm well up for the challenge and looking forward to meeting the other challengers on the day.
I need to have raised the rest of the sponsor money by the end of August.
Week-long community project in Cape Town begins.
2016 is my year of new experiences as I prepare & fundraise for an overseas community challenge in November. Outside of work, my efforts are going into making sure I can raise sufficient funds for the project.
