My goal is to run the Chicago Marathon in October 2018. I ran London in 2016 in 5:55:57, Berlin in 2017 in 4:21:02 and I want to break the 4:15:00 barrier this year. I'm 51 and only took up running 3 years ago when I was almost 18 stone and feeling desperately fat and unfit!
Half marathon with outrageous display of madness/nonsense/misbehaviour.
Fast, flat course with huge PB potential!
The original Hampton Court Half Marathon is run over a fast, flat and visually interesting course that borders the river-side grounds of the magnificent Hampton Court Palace to the South West of London.
With a city centre start and finish, the event boasts a super scenic route - with stunning views of the Peak District for those who conquer the climb to Ringinglow.
PB potential and an unforgettable tour of Milton Keynes' buzzing cityscape all lined with motivating crowds and entertainment.
The Rock 'n' Roll Marathon series brings music and fun to the marathon experience with live bands along the entire course.
Tough 12 hour team event involving six individual challenges that must be met in order to find the key to free the team's medals.
Without exception, the world's greatest half marathon with almost 60,000 others lining up in the centre of Newcastle.
Fastest marathon in the world, Berlin holds the most world records for men and women, and is one of the 'Big Six' world marathons.
My 3rd Marathon Major!
I'm 51 and used to be a teacher until 4 years ago when I discovered at 18 stone I was on the verge of having a stroke. I quit teaching, got a dog and joined a gym. The first day I couldn’t even run 100 metres on the treadmill, so the next day I went back and did exactly 6 metres more and every day I did a little more. 10 weeks later I completed my first ever half marathon. Now I run a website called RunForit.today and organise everyone-friendly races to encourage other people.
