To run 5K without having to stop for breath. It sounds easy (and it is easy for so many!) but having done it before in a race I know my body is not geared towards running! But with practice and commitment I know it's achievable.
Quite like the sound of a 5K where you get chocolate, bubbles or even wine every kilometre though...
I'm following the NHS Couch to 5K training plan which can be downloaded as a podcast or app so I should be up & running in 9 weeks. I'm finding it easy to use, the voice is encouraging & the music helps keep my pace.
This will be 9 weeks from when I began training so aiming for a non-stop run around this time. My plan is to run twice per week for half an hour and gradually reduce walking time over the 9 weeks.
I'm a long distance walker (800km in 35 days is my record!), dancer and climber, but definitely not a runner - yet!
