Just three hours north of Toronto, Algonquin Park is a special destination all year round.
Algonquin is massive - over 7,000 square kilometers of lakes, forest, rivers and streams.
Located at the southern tip the of the rocky Canadian shield, Algonquin lies in a transition zone between the Carolinian deciduous leafy forests of southern Ontario and the boreal coniferous forests of northern Canada. The result is a rich diversity of plant and wildlife, with five major habitat types to be found within Park boundaries.

John Langford founded Voyageur Quest in 1991, with the stated aim that a trip in nature can be a vacation - something fun and enjoyable.
It's based in the northwest corner of Algonquin Park, an area which has deep roots in his family, and has evolved from a one-person operation to one of Canada’s most recognized adventure travel companies.

The weather is typically beautiful from May to October. The warmest driest weather is at the end June and early July. August can be quite cool - especially at night.
