A non-competitive, guided, trail running adventure day in The Chiltern Hills with instruction, refreshments & technical t-shirt.
Leave Tring station at around 9am as a small team through the country footpaths towards Bledlow. The local English Athletics qualified Run Leaders will show you the way, so you can enjoy the scenery, focus on your running and style. The path winds along a quiet trail through deep woods, grassy ridges and steep hills as well as through hamlets mainly seen in period dramas.
18 miles later and a few hills behind you, you'll finish at 3pm and return to the train station at approx. 5pm.
Participants will be grouped by ability but you need to be able to be on your feet for around five hours per day and ideally have run close to a marathon distance in the past. You will be expected to carry essential kit but this will be a pretty light bag allowing you to run freely. The Lead Runner will route-find and you will be expected to run as part of the team.
Easy undulating trails at low levels of elevation and relatively small amounts of cumulative ascent (up to around 1000m) for runners at these paces:
"Brilliant woodland paths, winding trails, experienced leaders... I leave exploring with you over this weekend with a huge smile on my face. Thank you." Tracey 2018
"Really well looked after by the team! Great knowledge, info and support. I highly recommend." Steve 2018
