Sun-kissed peaks of the Annapurnas
Nepal’s tourism is booming again! Figures suggest that there are more people visiting the country than there were before the devastating earthquake that brought the nation and its economy to its knees. If Nepal is one to tick off your bucket list, it's time to discover the amazing ways you can experience 'the roof of the world'.

Nepal's bouncing back!

In April 2015 a devastating earthquake struck the country of Nepal causing nearly 9,000 deaths and injured 20,000. The impact on the country’s economy was huge, with tourism dropping by a third and its capital and biggest city Kathmandu, one of the worst affected areas.

The good news is, Nepal is bouncing back! Many holiday companies are proclaiming a significant rise in bookings for Nepalese adventures such as Treks to Everest Base Camp, exploring Sagamartha National Park and walking in the Annapurnas. With 8 out 10 of the world’s highest mountains, it’s no wonder that Nepal’s draw remains strong. Some operators are even adding trips due to demand from agents, which many believe is down to the amount of awareness raised in the proceeding periods after the disaster.

Clearly the pull of Nepal's landscapes, culture and people is too strong, so with tourism now soaring, we’ve selected our favourite ways for you to explore this awe-inspiring country and leave your mark on its recovery and rebuilding process.
