Week-long trail running holiday in France with stunning routes, great food and excellent accommodation. Bespoke itineraries to suit your running level.
We have great trails right on our doorstep! The Dordogne region of France is undulating with valleys, rivers, chateaux, caves, ancient woodland, truffle orchards, ancient chemins, single track paths, little-used lanes, quaint tiny hamlets, beautiful villages and this region is known for is gastronomy!
Day 1: Todays running is a loop starting and finishing at the chateau of Jumilhac Le Grand. Distance to suit you; 6-15km.
Day 2: Today we'll run along a section of the famous Saint Jacques de Compostelle starting from the market town of Thivers and head towards Sorges. Distance to suit you; 8-18km
Day 3: A beautiful 10km loop run in the morning followed by afternoon free time in beautiful town of Brantome. Or we can run point to point from Thiviers to Brantome - 30km for the more experienced trail runner. Distance to suit your running experience.
Day 4: In the morning you'll have chance to explore Excideuil's weekly farmers market followed by a nice relaxed run around the trails that lead up to the enchanted rocks, again a distance to suit you; 6-15km
Day 5: Today we start our run from the village of Saint Jean de Cole which has been voted one of the prettiest villages in France. Distance between; 7-12km
Day 6: We'll have a nice gentle run to finish off your running holiday today from your accommodation to the village at Saint Paul La Roche.
Arrival day - possibility of a night trail run (depending on arrival time)
Departure day - possible for morning run (depending on departure time)
