Carsington Festival of Running | 10K

This magical festival of running is a new race offering at Carsington Water with something for everyone. Choose from a Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k or 5k distance and enjoy an opportunity to race a traffic-free, lakeside trail with superb views across the water and surrounding peaks at Carsington. It's stunningly beautiful and not to be missed! The race is brought to you by the same team that crafts and delivers the Tissington Trail Half Marathon, which regularly features in lists of leading UK trail races. So, prepare to be spellbound by every step of this incredible racing gem. The course is an undulating, muli-terrain route with a few inclines and some super downhill sections. You can expect mostly hard track and, if the weather has been particularly wet in the days leading up to race day, then you can expect mud! Glorious mud! - It all adds to the fun! Whilst the course has been measured using GPS, it cannot carry a certificate of course accuracy due to its multiterrain nature. But, it's still a corker of a race! The half marathon is a complete lap plus an out and back section. The marathon is two circuits of the half marathon course. Meanwhile, 10k & 5k runners will complete an out and back course only.
