Overview

The Devil's Punchbowl is unique, a natural amphitheatre and beauty spot. Legend has it that the devil spent his time tormenting the god Thor by pelting him with enormous handfuls of earth, leaving the great bowl that visitors can see today. In reality, this area offers fantastic running along some stunning trails.

This 10km is designed to be fun but tough, we will enjoy some fantastic trails and lots of lovely hills. The good news is that we will pause at the top to enjoy the spectacular views. You can take the hills at your own pace and we will encourage each other.

Free beer

This event has partnered with the wonderful Athletic Brewing Company, one of the most delicious alcohol-free beers around. You can expect to receive a lush beer (subject to availability) at the end of the run to either enjoy with your newfound running pals or take home to have another time.

If you're thinking about trying trails or if you are experienced and looking for a guide then Matt is your man. (It was my first guided trail run and my first night trail run.) I'm glad he knew where we were going because I had no idea. The pace was steady with lots of stops and checks to make sure we were all together and ready to push on. It was challenging but we were in safe hands. Barnaby Ellis
