Overview

  1. The Roon the Toon 10K road race starts and finishes at Kilmarnock’s Ayrshire Athletics Arena. The route takes competitors ‘Roon the Toon’, through the town centre and surrounding countryside, over a fast and mainly flat course. It is an iconic course, with great en route entertainment and at the finish you'll be presented with a great race medal and the best value goody bag anywhere, including a free ticket to a Killie home gane (conditions apply). In addition to the footrace the event also features a Wheelchair race (racing chairs and PPE required), a Stroller Roll which allows entrants pushing prams / buggies / wheelchairs to compete (self propelled wheelchair users compete in the main race). NB: the Stroller Roll is non competitive i.e. there are no prizes and you start at the back of the field. If you are likely to get irritated at not being able to pass fellow runners, it is probably not for you.
