The Wacky Relays

Come and run for fun in a beautiful landscape but also for the challenge of some rolling hills. A surprise round each bend - maybe you can catch the pigeon?? The relay involves teams of four runners; each runner completes one loop of the 1.3 mile/ 2 km circuit before heading back to Sedgley Park Rugby club to hand over their baton to the next runner in front of a cheering crowd of supporters. The race is an adult event (15 years and over) and the teams can be all male, all female or mixed. There will be prizes for the first teams and spot prizes. The route is on trails and tracks around Philips Park which are wide and generally firm but may be muddy if there has been rain so trail shoes are advised. There’s lots of space at the rugby club to relax and enjoy the event together with a charity cake stand plus coffee/tea/pie and peas and and a bar in the rugby club. You might even want to get into the wacky spirit with team outfits.
