This is a spectacular and challenging course along some fantastic trails that will take you right up through Glenariff Forest, over Trostan, with amazing views across the North coast.

This course is approximately 90% trail with a cut-off of 8 hours. You must make your own way to Ballycastle for registration and collection of your race number, road book etc. You'll then be taken by bus to the start line at Waterfoot, where you will begin your marathon journey, running all the way back to Ballycastle.
You will follow the route using the tried and tested road book and you will also be supplied with a full GPX file of the route before the event, to download to your GPS device, there will be no marshals except at the designated checkpoints. There will be no extra signage along the route apart from the signage already there. You do not need any map reading skills or additional navigational skills to complete this course.
