Ability level
The Ben Nevis Trek is graded as ‘challenging’.
This means that a good level of fitness is required. You do not need to be a professional athlete or ‘super fit,’ but the fitter you are, the more you will enjoy the challenge!

Time of year
The trek will take place mid-September. Here are a few reasons why trekking Ben Nevis in September is great:
Milder weather
While the summit itself can be cold, the lower slopes are pleasant compared to the winter months.
Quieter trails
The peak tourist season (July-August) is over, so the trek will be less crowded.
Autumn scenery
The surrounding Highlands will start turning golden and red, making for breathtaking views!
