Descend 220ft down one of England's highest waterfalls on the edge of Dartmoor National Park whilst caring for the UK Armed Forces.
The waterfall is situated on the edge of Dartmoor's National Park, in the heart of Devon's Teign Valley, offering some of the most spectacular waterfall and woodland scenery in Devon and this is your chance to abseil down it!
Why not get a group of friends/family or work colleagues together to take part and make a weekend of it? No experience is necessary and full training will be given by our professional abseil suppliers on the day. However, this is an extreme challenge so you will need to be fit to walk the steep 15-minute incline to the top of the waterfall area.
Home to England’s highest manmade waterfall, Canonteign Falls is a magnificent example of a Victorian folly set in a magical natural paradise. The waterfalls themselves descend for over 70m through ancient woodland making this one of the most breathtaking attractions in Devon.
There are hundreds of things to do in this area with Dartmoor National Park and Exeter close by so is ideal for a weekend or week-long destination. These include: Deep gorges, stunning reservoirs, open air swimming, Dartmoor Zoological Park, Castle Drogo, House of Marbles, miniature ponies, Garden House, RHS, ancient abbeys, ruins, South Devon Steam Railway, Sculpture School exhibition, Alder Vineyard Tour and Wine Tasting, Brent Tor rock outcrop with St Michael's Church atop, War Horse Valley, Fairground Heritage Centre, River Dart Country Park and many more.
Get summer off to an extraordinary start with this exciting adrenaline challenge!
"If you want an experience and views to go with it, then Canonteign Waterfalls is worth the trip. Once at the summit you have the most amazing view over the waterfall itself, and a panoramic view of the Devon hills and coastline."
"Such a lovely day out with children, rocks to climb, stepping stones, two play areas, trampolines and good walk with a stunning fern garden; a visit here is perfect for connecting as a family. Our four year old was particularly pleased when we made it to the adventure obstacle course after the big walk up to the waterfall."
"You follow a path up to the top of the falls and are rewarded with a breathtaking view of the Devon countryside."
