Event overview

Starting at Milngavie Train Station, runners will have 28 hours to complete the West Highland Way (94 miles) with a small link section on tarmac to then join The Great Glen Way(72 miles) at Neptune Staircase. The route is fully marked with waymark and arrow signs and has a total ascent of around 24,000ft. There will be checkpoints along the way, where runners can be met by their support team, There will be also checkpoints serviced by marshals for drop bags, this is due to their remote location and the need for support crews to rest. Runners will be tracked and there will be a requirement to have at least one runner that can run in the event that you require help off the route between checkpoints.
