Recreating much of the previously popular route, it's great event for runners and spectators alike.
The scenic route promises to attract huge crowds of supporters and allows for a spot of phenomenal sightseeing as the Gothic city centre meets the picturesque countryside.
Runners crossing the impressive Coventry Cathedral finish line will be greeted with a goody bag of rewards, including post-run treats and a hard-earned bespoke medal to remember the day!
The Event Village will be the hub for the day:
The bustling Event Village will be located in University Square, next to the finish line outside Coventry Cathedral. To satisfy your pre and post-run fuel needs, a selection of tasty food and drink choices will be available to purchase. There are also several bars and cafés in the area that will be sure to welcome spectators and participants and are often bursting with atmosphere after the event. The wonderful partner charities will also be located in the Event Village, so make sure you go say hi!
The baggage store located in the Hub at Coventry University, which is located right next to the start line on Gosford Street.
There are plenty of toilets in the Event Village and also out along the course.
Should you find you require medical assistance, personnel will be on hand to help at regular intervals on the course with fixed first aid stations located near the water stations. In addition, there will be a first aid unit and recovery area located near the start and finish line. There will also be roaming first aiders around the Event Village.
Celebrate your incredible time and your fantastic achievements with some extra event day souvenirs. Head to the event village on race day and visit Epic Etchings to get your finishers medal engraved and Personal Best Vests to order your own personalised finisher t-shirt print to help celebrate your achievements in style.
Get your post-event massage post-race. The massage team will be located in the Event Village.
Smile! The Marathon Photos team will be on course throughout the event to snap your picture. Photographs can be purchased online.
All results will be available in the results section of the website soon after the end of the event. However, keep in mind that it’s not all about times – you should be proud of yourself just for getting out there and getting active!
Music group Impact Steel Band will be keeping you entertained out on the course.
There will be various meeting points to help you get together with your friends and family.

Coventry lies at the heart of an excellent rail and bus network and is accessible via motorway, making it extremely easy to reach. Entrants are encouraged to use public transport, walk, cycle or explore car sharing when planning travel.
Recreating much of the previously popular route, the event will take place on the historic City Centre streets before heading to the nearby countryside and out towards Shakespeare’s county of Warwickshire.
The race starts in the heart of the city centre on Gosford Street and finishes outside the steps of the stunning gothic Coventry Cathedral.
It is hoped thousands will return to the streets and enjoy the scenic city centre and countryside route, including Allesley Park Fairy Village, Coventry Peace Orchard, the White Arch and the stunning Coventry Cathedral.
Bottled water is available on course and at the finish.
The team of pacers on the day will be pacing at 5-minute intervals between 1hr 30mins and 2hrs 15mins.
The team of pacers, sponsored by Arla Protein have been organised on behalf of Coventry Runner.
The team are looking forward to supporting you on your run. Each pacer will have a flag attached to them with finish times and will run at a steady pace. If you keep up with them, you’ll be able to achieve the time on the flag.Our team of pacers on the day will be pacing at 5-minute intervals between 1hr 20mins and 2hrs 30mins.
They’re all very friendly, so feel free to have a chat with them before the event, and be sure to say thanks once you’ve crossed the finish line!
This event is committed to keeping Coventry green and understands the importance of doing it's bit for the environment. Bins will be provided across the event site and people are urged to use the facilities provided.

Lovely combination of city centre and countryside. A good start and finish location with easy access from local hotels and quick routes to lunch options at the end. Lots of water available which was appreciated. The section around Coventry Peace Orchard and the miles surrounding it were particularly lovely. Sarah E
