Have you ever wanted to hike the history-steeped hills of Hadrian’s Wall? Then why not take part in the Children North East Milecastle Challenge and walk the stunning scenery from Carlisle to Chesters Roman Fort! Over the one, two or three days our new walking challenge promises to be a breathtaking experience, whilst fundraising to provide life-changing services for babies, children and young people across our region.
Overview
The inaugural Children North East Milecastle Challenge with be set across the stunning Unesco World Heritage site of Hadrian’s Wall, starting on day one in Carlisle on Friday, day two from Birdoswald Fort, day three from The Sill and finishing 38 miles further east at Chesters Roman Fort on Sunday. The route ensures all the major iconic parts of Hadrian’s Wall are visited over the experience, including Sycamore Gap (Robin Hood Tree), Housesteads Roman Fort and Chesters Roman Fort.
