It all starts with a fabulous route!
One of the best bits of Run Gatwick is, well, Gatwick! There's a new route that is so exciting, it will take you as close as you will ever get to Gatwick Airport and closer than the race has ever been before, right beside the runway.
Starting and finishing from Gatwick Aviation Museum, the new route will take you inside the restricted perimeter road right along the full stretch of the runway running beside planes as they take off and land.

The start and finish at Gatwick Aviation Museum is an ideal place to watch friends and family go off and cheer them home again, plus you get to enjoy the fantastic Event Village with music, resident MC and great food and drink. You can make a day of it! You could even bring family and friends and book a tour of the fabulous Aviation Museum either before or after your race!
The museum offers a unique collection of aircraft and engines from the Golden Age of British aircraft manufacturing. It also traces and celebrates Gatwick Airport, including the history of the many commercial airlines that operated from here and its development into the second largest international airport in the UK.
Tours are at 9:30, 10:30, 11:30, 12;30, 13:30, 14:30 and last 45 minutes. You will be guided around all exhibits by an experienced knowledgeable team.

Plastic water bottles have been eliminated from this event, all water comes from standpipes and is delivered to participants in biodegradable paper cups.
Licensed organisations dispose of waste. These suppliers will be required to provide an audit of how the waste from the events is disposed of.

This was my first Run Gatwick and what an experience. Great organisation and crowd. The route has a beautiful scenery and seeing the planes taking off and landing makes it even more exciting. One of the best races I've been too.
Brilliant race overall, well organised and especially the uniqueness of the event being so close to one of Europe’s busiest airports.
It was class running next to a runway and seeing the planes come in and take off. Incredibly scenic route also.
