Tour de Tendring

It's perfect cycling country with quiet roads, low hills and views to the sea. And with a 6-mile family ride, it's a great opportunity for the whole family to saddle up and join in this hugely enjoyable ride. Starting and Finishing in Dovercourt (Harwich), along the way we’ll visit St Osyth with its historic Martello Tower, Great Bentley - which boasts the biggest village green in England – and Great Oakley, its roots stretching back to the Domesday Book and, of course, Clacton - famous for its pier and pleasure gardens. Taking place alongside the annual Skatejam and run in partnership with Tendring District Council, you’ll be able to unwind with refreshments and entertainment back at the Finish - and also top the ride off with a free swim at Dovercourt swimming pool.
